A structural income with a small shop
Project 1We Slum Shops Bangladesh
In the slums of Norar Nagar in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, Kamal and his wife Ruma run their own 1We grocery Slum Shop. Born in the slums they had little prospect of a bright future. With a microcredit van 1We - One World Experience they had the opportunity to earn a structural income with their own grocery. Together with you 1We would like to give also other talented people in the slums of Bangladesh the opportunity to start their own shop. This can be for example a little grocery, a simple optician shop or a bike shop. With your donation it is possible to start up a complete shop including stock, training and support for the owners.
Microcredit The owner will be carefully selected and will receive, under guidance, a starting budget in the form of a microcredit. With this credit he/she can setup a store and put the first range of products in place. Also additional training in matters such as bookkeeping and purchasing are part of the plan. To become the full owner of the shop 50% has to be repaid within two years. 1We invest this money in expanding and strengthening the projects in Bangladesh. Enterprising talent With something as simple as a 1We Slum Shop you give enterprising talent the opportunity to grow. Creating employment results in a structural income. It enables the children of the family to go to school and the family will be maintained. Your name is also immortalized on the facade of the 1We Slum Shop, in the purple/orange colours of 1We - making a real impact in the street. With this you have, as a company, a special marketing tool in your hands as part of socially involved business.
Already 2 Grocery Slum Shops have been donated. Will you help with the third?
A 1We Grocery Slum Shop costs € 2,500 Every donation is very welcome! Make a donation with credit card or PayPal.
