In the slums of Norar Nagar in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, Kamal and his wife Ruma run their own 1We grocery Slum Shop. Born in the slums they had little prospect of a bright future. Microcredit The owner will be carefully selected and will receive, under guidance, a starting budget in the form of a microcredit. With this credit he/she can setup a store and put the first range of products in place. Also additional training in matters such as bookkeeping and purchasing are part of the plan.
